Why don’t your body tubs come with all of the holes drilled?

The major holes are in the body, such as dash gauge holes, steering column holes, and shifter holes. None of the minor holes are drilled. There are quite a few of those on an MB including mirror, half-door snaps, shovel and axe brackets, crash pads, top bow brackets, body handles, hood latches, etc. These you must drill yourself. The reasoning for this is that we found in the past that customers would buy accessories such as body handles from various different vendors, and not all of these had the holes in the same location. Through our experience we find you get a much better job by using the part you are going to install as a guide to drill the holes. It is much easier to drill a hole to match your part, then to patch a hole that is not in the right location.
